Delicious Millet
7 cups of water
3 cups of water for soaking (do not including if you are skipping this stip.
2 cup of whole millet grain
3/4 t. salt
2/3 cup chopped dates
1/3 cup of fine unsweetened coconut (I blend this to make it very fine.)
Soak the millet overnight in 3 cups of water. Drain and rinse this in the morning. If you do not soak this before cooking add one more cup of water Equaling 8 total in the recipe. Place all in a covered dish and bring to a boil Turn it down to a light simmer. and cook about an hour. (No stirring necessary.) Or to bake: Place in a baking dish with a lid and bake for 1 hour on preheated 350. Serves 8
